The Midnight Call
The sun has risen,
And so it sets...
But what do you have to show for it?
Could you cross your heart,
And say with all honesty,
That you've lived the entire day,
Like it's the last you'd ever see?
Blue blends in the sky,
Like paint dripping from a canvas,
While orange glows, the horizon,
Palm trees speak their secret language.
The sky fades to a deeper blue,
Bright stars sprinkle all above.
Moonlight is showered everywhere,
Who speaks the language of love?
Wind breathes heavy sighs,
Midnight critters call out to their mates,
Nature plays a Symphony of crackle and whoosh,
Somewhere a lonely bird's heart aches.
A beautiful thing is at work,
Every time night is approaching,
But childhood is dead. And so is the dream.
Cause you told your kid to spend the night studying.

When you write poetry, you let your self loose. You become honest and write down words that matter to you and have been affecting your psych. It is a beautiful form of art as it involves words. Painting is alos another beautifull form of Art. One look of a painting by 10 different admirers and they will paint for you 10 different storys and meanings. In the same manner, any one who reads your poetry, will interpret it in accordance to their outlook, understanding and inner-desire.
For example, I write a poem on a simple topic. When you read it, you interpret it in all the various ways possible but only the poet knows the real intention and meaning behind it. For me, when I write something, every word is filled with feelings and every line would lead you to a story.
As a poet, I strive for perfection in my attainment of fulfilling my desire of being thoroughly satisfied with my words.
That violent rush, of smooth energy that can be felt when you get the words that you truly needed to find but had no idea of it's existance is known only to a few. And very few even appreciate this truly beautiful feeling.
To find the truth and the exact words to display it, one has to shut down his defense mechanism and disconnect from himself. It sounds weird but it's true that the main factor that can hamper your growth, self-realization process and you being honest with your self, the situation of your life, is YOU and can only be YOU!
My first peice of poetry was written on 14/08/2012 and was titled "Wish You Were Mine". Since then I have written 14 more poems. Those days were very heavy, emotionally and were suppose to be sad. And I was, but every time I wrote something, it made me happy. With my writings, I gave guidence to myself and any one who will read my poems will be helped too, as in totality all of my work (till now) speaks of primarily, "Hope", "Positivness" "Searching for Beauty in our Lives" and "Dreamers". For me these are tools to counter any situation in life as it is always better to hope for the best than to fear the worse. Alos if you're in trouble, you will only do yourself harm, by worrying. Instead, accept the reality of your situation and try looking out for a positive aspect in your life. Learn form your mistake so that you don't get into trouble again.
If you say, that there is nothing positive in your life to hang onto. I would tell you something a special friend of mine told me once, "Happiness is a choice" and it is very true, it is just a simple choice.
I've tried an expirent on myself. The result proves, the theory said above.....
When ever I felt troubled or low, I just smiled. I put on a simple smile that said to me, "I know everything that is going on and it is all going to be fine because in reality you actually ARE fine".
That smile of mine lasted for barely 7 seconds and I got back to my expressionless face.
What I learnt from this simple process was that Happiness is simply a plunge away and we tell ourselves and sometimes others that we truly desire it but deep within we actually want to be sad. We want ourselves to feel pity for our own self.
The reason for which, I will be writting soon about.
All that I would say now is that if you meet me today, you will see me smile and it will be genuine. God Bless You.....and...
